You hear a lot about 9H hardness is ceramic coatings. But, what does this mean? Well, it’s a measurement of the cured coating’s hardness based on the pencil scale. This measurement ranks from 0 to 9H – with 9 equivalent to the hardness of quartz. That’s why you often hear ceramic coatings called “quartz or glass coatings”.

With Ceramic Pro coatings – it starts with the base layer of our proprietary formulation. Different packages include multiple layers – with the super-slick top coat applied to each. Think of Ceramic Pro as an additional clear coat layer, only a lot harder. All of this allows for more peace of mind and a fuller enjoyment of your vehicle, even in harsh environments.

A ceramic coating works through the infusion of nanotechnology. Microscopic particles penetrate those tiny peaks and valleys found in all porous materials. The coating fills in these imperfections and leaves an ultra-flat and smooth surface – essentially a thin layer of very hard glass.

Once the ceramic coating has cured, it bonds to the surface, making it extremely hydrophobic. In turn it enhances the depth of paint, reduces adhesion of harmful contaminants and makes it easier to wash and maintain the surface. This means, warranties are transferred to the new vehicle owner until the warranty expires.
