After 17 years in the professional detailing and automotive restyling business, Kurt Felmar understands that people matter most. While developing strong business partnerships is the key to the operational growth of Ceramic Pro Elite White Marsh, supporting your local community and raising awareness for chronic medical conditions that depend on early diagnosis for successful treatment can save lives.

This is the mission of Kurt Felmar, the owner and operator of Ceramic Pro Elite White Marsh. His successful Detail Solutions location serves the greater Baltimore, Maryland region with professional ceramic coatings, paint protection film, and window tint powered by Ceramic Pro Americas.

He is a charter member of the new Elite Dealer™ program, which provides physical and digital real estate that drives vehicle owners in their territory to their locations. And while his detailing business in White Marsh is exceptionally successful, Kurt’s dedication to his local community is truly inspiring.

During The SEMA Show 2022 – the Ceramic Pro Americas marketing team sat down with Kurt to learn more about his Elite Dealer Journey.

In today’s Elite Dealer Spotlight, we’re going to share his story – specifically how he infuses his annual open house with a fundraising and awareness event called Cars & Crabcakes Against Cancer | Charity Day & Open House.

But first, to gain some insights into Kurt’s knowledge about Ceramic Pro protective solutions, check out his interview with the leadership team from the Porsche Club of America in the video below.

About Ceramic Pro Elite White Marsh

Detail Solutions, AKA Ceramic Pro Elite White Marsh, has operated in their current shop location for about a year. Located in Rosedale, Maryland, Ceramic Pro Elite White Marsh offers complete automotive detailing and restyling solutions, including Ceramic Pro Coatings and KAVACA Paint Protection Film and Window Tint.

Why Did Detail Solutions Become a Ceramic Pro Elite Dealer?

Detail Solutions became a charter member of Ceramic Pro America’s Elite Dealer business initiative in 2021.

The Ceramic Pro Elite Dealer Initiative was initially conceived in 2021 by the Ceramic Pro Americas corporate leadership team. After consulting with 20+ long-time Ceramic Pro Auto Spas (including Kurt’s team at Detail Solutions), a BETA testing program was established.

This allowed corporate leadership and Elite Dealers like Ceramic Pro White Marsh to fine-tune the program’s parameters throughout the first three quarters of the 2022 fiscal year.

As of September 1st, 2022, 53 certified Ceramic Pro Elite Dealers currently serve ceramic coating, PPF, and window tint consumers, in 27 US States, with more than double ready in the wings as the 2022 SEMA Show began last week.

For Felmar, the decision to become an Elite Dealer broke down into three primary reasons.

“First and foremost is the quality of the products – they are top-notch across the board,” stated Felmar during an interview at the 2022 SEMA Show. “Second, it’s the support we receive from the Ceramic Pro Americas team. Whether it’s technical guidance, marketing help, or we need some tips on resolving any issues, if we have questions, they provide solutions.”

“Arguably most important, though, is that this is a genuine partnership. Many people in this industry don’t quite understand that Ceramic Pro has our back – and we have theirs. As the Elite Dealer program continues to grow, and CP engages the marketing engine to drive more business to Elite Dealers – it’s a win-win for everyone.”

How Ceramic Pro White Marsh Connects with Community

Contrary to popular belief, Kurt Felmar is not a one-hit business wonder focusing solely on detailing. In fact, he’s a large part of the Baltimore, Maryland, performance automotive industry and has been since 2005.

Through this network of hot-rodding enthusiasts in the Baltimore metro area, he met Phil Sieradzan, the brother of Chris Sieradzan, who was a long-time classmate with Kurt.

Chris’ business, Rad Wraps, is a key business partner of Ceramic Pro Elite White Marsh, installing vinyl wraps and assisting with some KAVACA Paint Protection Film installation jobs.

In 2020, Phil lost his battle with Cholangiocarcinoma – a type of cancer that forms in the slender tubes (bile ducts) that carry the digestive fluid bile. It’s a chronic disease that occurs mainly in people older than 50 but can impact people of all ages.

Like every other chronic disease, early diagnosis, awareness of symptoms, and testing are key to mitigating and controlling the disease and living. This inspired Fulmar to find a way to integrate his annual open house with a fundraising and awareness campaign supported by local businesses and the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.

The event is called Cars & Crabcakes Against Cancer | Charity Day & Open House – which will be held at Ceramic Pro Elite White Marsh on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19TH, 2022, from 11 AM – 3 PM PST.

The event allows former and current clients of Detail Solutions / Ceramic Pro White Marsh and the general public and automotive enthusiasts to check out some of the professional automotive restyling and detailing products offered – but enjoy Jimmy’s Famous Seafood and their world-class food truck (obviously crabcakes).

What is Cholangiocarcinoma?

The information posted below is courtesy of the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation.

Cholangiocarcinoma is a type of cancer that forms in the slender tubes (bile ducts) that carry the digestive fluid bile. Bile ducts connect your liver to your gallbladder and to your small intestine.

Cholangiocarcinoma, also known as bile duct cancer, occurs mainly in people older than 50, though it can occur at any age.

Doctors divide Cholangiocarcinoma into different types based on where cancer occurs in the bile ducts:

  • Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma occurs in the parts of the bile ducts within the liver. It is sometimes classified as a type of liver cancer.
  • Hilar Cholangiocarcinoma occurs in the bile ducts just outside of the liver. This type is also called perihilar Cholangiocarcinoma.
  • Distal Cholangiocarcinoma occurs in the portion of the bile duct nearest the small intestine. This type is also called extrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma.

Cholangiocarcinoma is often diagnosed when it’s advanced, making successful treatment difficult.

What are the Early Warning Signs of Cholangiocarcinoma?

Signs and symptoms of Cholangiocarcinoma include:

  • Yellowing of your skin and the whites of your eyes (jaundice)
  • Intensely itchy skin
  • White-colored stools
  • Fatigue
  • Abdominal pain on the right side, just below the ribs
  • Losing weight without trying
  • Fever
  • Night sweats
  • Dark urine

When to See a Doctor for Early Screening and Testing?

See your doctor if you have persistent fatigue, abdominal pain, jaundice, or other signs and symptoms that bother you. They may refer you to a specialist in digestive diseases (gastroenterologist).
